National Adapted Sport Collective
The National Parasport Collective was established in 2020 to bring sport organizations from across Canada together to advance a comprehensive and unified disability sport agenda promoting participation. Since its inception, the Collective has grown to over 75 individuals, representing all provinces and territories. The focus of this group continues to be on supporting each other to create meaningful sport experiences at every level from grassroots to high performance.
Exercise Team Community of Practice
The mission of this group is to create and mobilize best practices for optimizing participation among persons with disabilities in community-based exercise programs. We will achieve this mission by providing connections, support, and learning opportunities between program providers.
Family Engagement Consortium
The Family Engagement Consortium connects researchers, practitioners, community partners, families and youth together through research. In family-engaged research, families and youth are a part of the research team. They work together with researchers to co-generate knowledge that is relevant, reflective, and informed by lived experiences. The Consortium is composed of youth, caregivers and researchers through a Youth Advisory Committee and a Family Engagement Research Team, respectively.
